Growing Up in a Sensory World: Sensory Strategies for Young Children in Everyday Life

Join us in this course and learn how to help infants and toddlers and their families cope with the struggles of sensory processing disorder in their daily activities of life.

You will learn how to develop a repertoire of practical sensory solutions for young children, which address challenges specific to each of the 7 sensory systems; vestibular, proprioception, tactile, visual, auditory, smell, and taste. Sensory strategies will target difficulties in childhood occupations such as playing, eating, sleeping, bathing, and dressing. Participants will learn techniques such as how to calm a fussy infant, proper swaddling, mealtime “food rules”, and more. Help parents and early intervention specialists feel hopeful and empowered in helping young children with sensory challenges.
